Melody Osuna
Prior to joining PILP, Melody served as an Attorney at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, where she provided direct services to veterans and patients of community health care centers. She was a proud member of the Long Beach Housing Justice Coalition, fighting for equitable and affordable housing in the City of Long Beach.
Previously, she was a Staff Attorney with Inner City Law Center (ICLC), where she ran a medical-legal partnership focused on obtaining benefits for women veterans suffering from PTSD. Before that, Melody was a Shriver Housing Attorney at ICLC, where she defended tenants in unlawful evictions and saw first-hand the effects of decades of racial covenants, redlining, discriminatory zoning, over-policing, and sundown policies. She began her legal career as a fellow providing trauma-informed direct services to victims of domestic violence at the YWCA of Glendale. Melody earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from CSU Fullerton and her Juris Doctor Degree from the Loyola Law School.
