Welcome to Melody Osuna
The Public Interest Law Project is thrilled to announce that Melody Osuna has joined our team as a Staff Attorney and will be contributing to PILP’s work with local legal services programs with a focus on equitable land use and housing justice!
Prior to joining PILP, Melody served as an Attorney at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, where she provided direct services to veterans and patients of community health care centers. She was a proud member of the Long Beach Housing Coalition, fighting for equitable and affordable housing in the City of Long Beach. Previously, she was a Staff Attorney with Inner City Law Center, where she defended tenants in unlawful evictions and saw first-hand the effects of decades of racial covenants, redlining, discriminatory zoning, over-policing, and sundown policies.
Over the years, she has strived to work on broader impact projects that focus on overcoming the effects of systemic racism. Melody earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from CSU Fullerton and her Juris Doctor Degree from the Loyola Law School.
Please welcome Melody to our team!
